Patricia Hind

BSc, MSc, PhD, CPsychol, AFBPS

Patricia is a Senior Faculty member at Ashridge. She works with a range of clients, nationally and internationally from both the public and private sectors, specializing in leadership, organizational behavior and change management. She was a Director for the Ashridge full-time and EMBA programmes, for some 12 years and has spent over 20 years researching how effective leadership can be developed through self awareness, improving working relationships and contextual understanding.

As an Organisational Behaviour specialist, Patricia has worked widely across Ashridge's open and tailored programmes. For 8 years she managed the 'Positive People Skills' open programme, and regularly contributes to The Ashridge Leadership Process both in the UK and the UAE, and also frequently works on our Influencing Skills and Performance Management programmes. She has worked on many customised programmes, most recently in the Middle East for the Sheik Mohammed Leadership foundation in Dubai, for the Nakheel Corporation, ADOC and ADIA. Elsewhere she has worked closely on the design and delivery of programmes for organisations such as Philips, BP, E.OnIs, Britannia Building Society, Barclays Bank and Alcatel.

Patricia has recently been appointed a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Stellenbosch, her most recent research interests include the role of responsible leadership in embedding sustainable businesses practices in organizations. She has published and given conference papers on a wide range of issues, such as individual motivation, organisational downsizing and change and the management of 360 appraisal systems. Patricia has a degree in Psychology, an MSc in Organisational Psychology and a Doctorate in Managing without Authority. She is a Chartered Psychologist, a Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Academy of Management and has been appointed an Associate Fellow of the BPS. She has both Level A and Level B intermediate qualifications in Occupational Testing from the BPS and is qualified to use a wide range of psychometric inventories aimed at effective individual self awareness and development.
